August 5- Swim portion of Cyswog n' Fun Olympic Triathlon, Nelson BC
August 12- Loop the Lake 10K, Invermere BC
August 22- Wunderwoman Sprint Triathlon, Spokane WA
I only have two races lined up for the fall, a 10K in Creston BC, and the BMO Okanagan 1/2 marathon in Kelowna BC.
I am supposed to start my training for the half marathon on July 17th, so I am hoping my foot decides to be a sport and start co-operating by then. At the moment I am not running at all, so the run portion of my next sprint tri (in 10 days!) may end up being a walk. I really hope not, but I want to take it as easy as I can and be healthy going into my half training.
I did my first half ever in December last year- the Rock n' Roll Las Vegas 1/2 marathon. It was interesting to say the least. Poorly organized, too many people, definitely not a course for PRs. Being as it was my first ever 1/2, I PRed regardless. It was a fun race though, the sights and lights of Vegas definitely help to take your mind off of the length of the run. I was not as prepared as I could have been for that race, and I am looking forward to being able to smash my time in Kelowna.

I feel like I may be posting a ridiculous amount of pictures of my dog... but he's just so cute! He's the best running partner ever (aside from the fact that he runs from bears instead of chasing them, a story for another time!) and he's just so happy to see me all of the time! I just love him!
