1/2 Marathon Training Day 1

Hi all!

I did the first run in my 1/2 marathon training today. It was supposed to be 5km, but I ended up doing 4 as I could feel a huge blister coming on (I forgot my socks!)
I took it easy because I didn't want to aggravate my ankle, and it felt really good! I did my 4km in 23:00 which was a good pace (5:45 km).

 Here is what week 1 is supposed to look like:

Monday
Rest
Tuesday
5km easy
Wednesday
30 min tempo
Thursday
5km easy
Friday
Off
Saturday
5km easy
Sunday
10km long run


I am adapting a bit- obviously I only did 4 km today, Wed and Thurs will remain the same, I may shorten/nix Saturdays run- depends how I am feeling, and Sunday is up in the air.I will be adding in strength training for the next 3 days, as well as a couple of swims. All dependent on how my ankle holds up of course! I really really hope its good.

Today strength training consists of two days of livefit combined into one. I'm doing chest/triceps as well as shoulders/back. I am running out of days since we are headed out camping this weekend! I can't wait!

The weekend is still a little ways away, but any awesome plans?
