Summer Lovin'

I am in love with the summer weather!!!

I got to hit up our local farmers market this morning, and came home with a few goodies...

I got two types of jam- low sugar huckleberry, and Rhubarb Banana. Normally I would never get something like rhubarb banana- sounds too weird! But they were sampling it, and holy cow- its unreal! And its made with organic sugar- I was sold.
I also got a carton of fresh strawberries, dill and farm fresh eggs from Fort Steele Farms. We used to have our own chickens and I miss having farm fresh eggs all the time!
The bread is a whole wheat sourdough loaf from the same place that made the rhubarb banana jam. It may be the best bread I have ever tasted.

Will and I whipped up a delicious breakfast of strawberries, bread with jam, and fried eggs. I meant to take a picture of my plate, but I was to busy thinking about devouring it to remember to snap one. We'll probably have a similar breakfast tomorrow, so I'll try to remember to snap one then.

I also got an arthritis and muscle relief massage lotion at the market. It contains essential oils of juniper, sage, lavender, ginger, nutmeg, black pepper, sweet birch and peppermint. It smells sooo good. The pepper gives it a really interesting pop! I can't wait to use it on my shoulder- it's killing me after my massage yesterday.

Someone was begging for a quad ride today (this photo is from last year, but this is what he does when he wants to go for a ride). We went for a ride back into the bushes. As we were driving, I smelled strawberries- I totally forgot that it is wild strawberry season, so I stopped to see if I could find some.

I found a huge patch and spent a good 10 minute filling up on berries. The strawberries I got at the farmers market were amazing, but there's nothing quite like wild strawberries. Even Bax was sniffing them out and helping himself!

I'm taking it easy today on the exercise front. I'm pretty freaking sore right now. Hopefully I will be able to get a bike ride in tomorrow morning!
