New years resolutions-update!

I made 5 New Years resolutions this year, and in order to stay committed I decided to dedicate a monthly blog post to updating my progress!

Let's check it out:

1. Run 13 races in 2013

I haven't run any races yet, but ,my first one is coming up in Feb (hopefully)! I'm ready to start racing. I've been just kind of running when I feel like it, but I have a training plan set up now and I'm ready to get back to more structured training.

2. Try out crossfit

No crossfit yet, I'm still doing Tina's Best Body Bootcamp. I'm hoping to go in and check it out once bootcamp is over.

3. Be able to do 50 real pushups in a row

I started off the year being able to do 3 in a row, and now I'm up to 6. That's not many, but its progress and I'll take it!

4. Try 1 new dinner recipe per month

This month we tried 1 new dinner recipe, Cream Cheese Chicken Chili. It was definitely a winner. I will try more than 1 new one in February, I have 3 or 4 lined up to try so far.

5. Read 52 books this year

Thanks to our Mexican vacation I was able to read 9 books. Check out my post on the ones I read here.

I'm really happy with how my goals are progressing. I think reviewing them monthly really helps me to stay focused on them.

  1. I'm gonna have to check out that chicken recipe. It sounds yummy! I love your book goal too. I'm a big reader myself :)
