New Years Resolutions

Happy 2013 everyone!!

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Years Eve.

We celebrated by going to a fabulous Mexican restaurant down the beach from our condo, then heading up to the penthouse of our condo to go on the roof and watch all the different fireworks shows that were put on in Mazatlan! It was pretty excellent.

Getting a little crazzzzzy!

Every year I try to make New Years Resolutions, but I end up forgetting about them part way through the year. I decided to make 5 resolutions and share them on the blog. I am planning on doing a monthly check-in to see where I am at with them, that way y'all can help keep me accountable.

Without further ado, here are the 5 goals I have for myself this year:

1. Run 13 races in 2013. 
Jill at jillconyers.com is hosting a 13 races in 2013 challenge. I will be posting tomorrow about the races that I have chosen... stay tuned to find out which ones!

2.Try out Crossfit.
 I am so intimidated by our local crossfit gym, but I will get up the courage to go and try it out this year!!

3. Be able to do 50 regular push ups in a row.

I have started working on my upper body strength, and right now I can only do about 5 in a row. I am going to use the 100 push ups app on my iPhone.

4. Try 1 new dinner recipe per month.

 It is so easy for me to get caught up in making easy routine dinners, I really want to try some new things this year

5.Read 52 new books. 

I'm a pretty speedy reader, and that's only a book a week- totally doable. I'm hoping this well help me start to limit my computer time and encourage going to bed earlier to read sometimes. At home I've had lots of issues sleeping over the past year and I have a sneaking suspicion that computer before bed is adding to them.

I will recap my goals and how I am progressing towards them at the end of each month. I'm looking forward to 2013 being the best year ever!!
