After that I have a pretty long break from racing since we have something going on almost every single weekend this summer! I was thinking about doing the Nelson triathlon in August, but it falls on one of our two free weekends, so I'm thinking that I may back out of that one. I'm undecided at this point.
I'm looking forward to the Spokane River Run this weekend. I've been running quite a bit and I really think that I have a PR in me :) It scares me a little to go into a race with expectations, and to put those expectations out there, but I feel good about this one!! Look for a race recap on Monday.
I ran the local 5K in May last year, and I got my 5K PR of 28:36. It's an extremely hilly and difficult course, and I definitely surprised myself. I'm looking to beat that time this year, hopefully by a significant amount! It almost exactly 1/2 way through my running streak (It'll be day 26!), and I can't wait! I'm running the mothers day 6km race the next day with my momma, and I'm thinking it'll be more of a recovery run than a race!

It's time to start adding some more biking and running back into my training. I'm definitely not planning for a PR at Wasa, I haven't swam in a long time since I have been trying to get my shoulder injury figured out. I have a lot more range of motion than I had last year, so I'm hoping that swimming isn't going to bother it as much. I went for a swim yesterday morning and it felt good, so I'm hoping that it'll hold out!
